Grade 3 in May
We have been working hard both in the classroom and online in the month of May! Literacy We continue our targeted Reading groups twice a week where students are working on phonemic awareness and decoding skills to support us in our reading. In writing, we have used our imaginations to create an imaginary place and character and used descriptive writing to share with our readers. Math During online learning, we reviewed Addition and Subtraction of 3 digit numbers with regrouping. Students enjoyed using the digital base ten blocks to create their numbers and have a visual representation for their learning. We are now working on measurement and students are becoming comfortable estimating and measuring objects using cm and m. We enjoyed going outside and measuring the perimeter of items on the school grounds. Social All year we have been learning about different communities around the world.
